Baukjen

A true campaigner for change, Geoff van Sonsbeeck is the Co-Founder and CEO of the House of Baukjen, the highest-scoring SME fashion B Corp in the world, and winner of the UN Global Climate Action Awards. House of Baukjen coined the term ’Fashion 2.0’ for what responsible fashion ought and can be, setting a new standard for sustainability in the industry.

The game-changing fashion company combines two sustainably conscious womenswear brands, Baukjen & Isabella Oliver, with a mission to drive positive change within one of the world’s most polluting industries through a series of sustainable practices and an ethical supply chain.

Geoff is determined to revolutionise the fashion sector by disrupting the fast fashion model and pivoting towards a circular business model that is both comprehensive and commercially attractive. An ambassador for B Corp and a vocal member of the Better Business Act, Geoff believes collaboration is key. House of Baukjen are active members of the Fashion Pact and signatories to the Amazon Climate Pledge, making a huge commitment to Net Zero by 2040. In 2020, they were invited to become the first fashion brand associated with Terra Carta.

Geoff holds a master’s degree in business economics and a postgraduate degree in Finance and has been trained as a NATO prisoner of war interrogator.
